Nursery

A large registered Alternafruit nursery is based in the Moorreesburg Area, in the Western Cape.  Various production practices are followed in order to produce high quality plants of selected varieties of figs and pomegranates as well as various other exotic and new plant spp.

Figs trees are available on order while bare root fig and pomegranate trees are made on site and can be ordered in advance at info@alternafruit.co.za.  

An experimental evaluation site is also based in the Moorreesburg area where a large number of new varieties and mother material is monitored and evaluated for potential  future selection.

The Alternafruit nursery also specialises in the sourcing, import and export of plant propagating material of various plant spp.
